If a calculator result or published figure looks wrong, report it with enough detail to reproduce the inputs and compare them with a cited source. The same process is documented in our editorial and corrections policy.
How to report
- Report. Use the contact page with the page URL, the inputs or figure, and what looks off.
- Context. Include the formula, table, or source you used to assess the result.
- Limits. Explain whether the question concerns an input, assumption, formula, rate table, or current external value.
What happens next
We verify reports against the formula, assumptions, and linked source material on the tool or research page. Material fixes to published figures are noted on the public data changelog. Results remain estimates: for consequential decisions, confirm the current primary source or a qualified professional.
